Maths equation

For maths today my group and I were working on this equation.We easily found out the answer, because we first looked what was our answer, then we figure out the strategies.... But the best part was, we worked as a team to find out the answer.

What is Palm Sunday ?

• The Sunday before Easter
• When Christ is entered to Jerusalem
• They celebrate, it by getting palm tree.

What is Holy Thursday ?

• It’s the day before Easter
• It’s also the Christians day
• Maundy thursday celebrate the last supper of Jesus and his Apostles

What is Good Friday?

• It’s the day before Easter Sunday
• It’s also a celebration of Jesus’s death in church
• It’s  also a traditionally of fasting and penance

What is Easter Sunday ?

• The day of Easter is celebrated
• For Christian they celebrate the rising of Jesus christ’s death
• Easter begins in the month of April

What is Chrism Mass ?

• Chrism mass is on holy thursday, and it’s is in the morning
• In the time of Chrism mass, at church the bishop has three oil, one is: anointing the sick.
• Chrism mass is also a special time for the Catholics.

Where is it held ?

• The chrism mass is held at every church.

Pt England Reserve - Hokulea

In this picture It's shows St Pius sitting down, waiting for the other schools to settle down.

It was a very hot day, lucky the student came with their hats.

Different other schools walked from their school.My thoughts about this picture is that it looked like it was a special time for the Maori and also the elders, to see the Hokulea, their were also people talking photo's of the boat, and the crew.

During this time, I was excited because in the past few weeks my class and I has been learning about the Hokulea, we also saw picture about it too.

At the end, We got to meet the crew, It's was a honour to meet them for the first time.When I went to meet the crew, I took a video of them.I also felt better than excited, I felt overwhelmed by meeting them.

I also saw the boat, It's was beautiful and I also can't believe I actually saw it.

This task is about solving maths problem

A) Maraea is saving to buy a cat.  In 3 weeks she has saved $9, $56 and $72.

Show how to work out how much she has saved altogether. 

50 + 70 = 120

6+2+9=17

Answer : 137 

B) Tom saves his money each month to buy a dog.  In 4 months he has saved $36, $78, $203, and $123.  Show how to work out how much he has saved altogether.

200 + 100 = 300

300 + 30 = 330

330+70+20=420

420+6+8+3+3=440

C) Te Ao is saving to buy a horse.  So far she has saved $17, $160, $72, and $148.  Show how to work out how much she has saved altogether.

100+100= 200

200+10+60=270

270+60+40=330

! Hokule'a arrives at New Zealand !

This morning was a very exciting day for all the school cluster.Everyone at school wore their jumpers, they looked very neat.Some of the teachers had their shoes on, for the walk.Everyone was so excited, they started to talk about it. Where we were going was to Pt England Reserve, because the  Hokulea, boat was there.It’s was also their 40 year of Voyaging around the world.

Their were 24 performers, from different other  school performed a haka to the crew. Then the crew, sang a beautiful song in their own languages.They sang beautiful, without the microphones, they also sang clearly and loud too.
When I saw the boat, I couldn't believe my eyes, it was just like in the picture, that my class was looking at it about a week ago.The waves were beautiful, and  the sun reflected on the beach.

At the end, all the schools got to meet the crew.First, it was Pt England to go, they took forever.Some of the schools, were so excited to meet the crew, so bad.So the schools had to run, while hi-fiveing their hands.They were so kind, they greeted their selves to us, when went go past.It was my turn now, I decided to go with one of the teacher phone to greet them while recording.I was happy because when I went past they join in and said “ Hi” or took picture with them. That was one of the best events, the school cluster has been attended to !

I Just can’t believe we meet the crew, plus we saw the boat too.
The Hokulea, is a hawaiian boat and it came to New Zealand 
on 25.03.15.

The boat was also launched on 18.03.1975.

Music Notes

Today for Music, ! we learnt to read music notes!.We learnt about the treble Clef, the staffs, notes and spaces. The notes for the treble Clef are E, G, B, D, F . We had a go on testing our skills, so Mrs Tui gave us a sheet, and we had to write down the music notes down. I had so much fun, putting down music notes, and also learning too.
