manaiakalani film festival

On Wednesday the bus arrived at 10:00 and we had just finished eating our morning tea. After that we sat on the ground and the teachers explained what is happening. Everybody was so happy that we are going to the Manaiakalani film festival at the Hoyts Sylvia Park.

We got in one of the two busses, which we shared with room 4 and we went off to Sylvia Park. At the car park we waited for the rest of our school to come and lined up in our class.

After that we had to wait because the other school’s session hadn’t finished, eventually they came out. There was 5 schools who came to the film festival while we were there. There were us, Glenbrae School, Tamaki Intermediate, Somerville School and Glen Innes Primary School.

When all of us was ready we went inside to find our seat. I was with Ana, Salote and Jane. Me and Salote were next to the light and the buttons for the chairs.

The movies started, we were all happy and me and Jane were a bit silly because our movie was the first to start. We were all screaming and jumping up and down. When our movie finished the next movie came on. I was clapping for the good movies and some of them were good and funny too.

When the film festival was finished we all went back to school on the same bus and the same class that we had shared buses with before.

I was tired so I fell asleep in the bus next to Jane. I had just woken up when we were at school. After that we had big lunch and we ate and played then we had time it relax. The bell rang and it was home time.

My favourite part of the Film Festival was ROOM 3 and room 7’s movies because we were in them.
